APARTHEID IN SOUTH AFRICA

(EXHIBITION CATALOG, TYPOGRAPHY, PUBLICATION)

tools used
– InDesign, Photoshop

The exhibition catalog on Apartheid in South Africa features the photographic works of David Goldblatt and Ernest Cole, the first black freelance photographer in South Africa. They documented the discriminatory and segregatory treatment of non-white Africans during that period. These photographers successfully portrayed the stark contrast between the lifestyles of non-white and white Africans, despite living in the same country.

By persistently breaking down barriers, the catalog presents the photographer’s images side by side, allowing viewers to discern commonalities and differences in documentation and perspectives. As a result, this catalog offers a preview of the exhibition for those who were unable to attend.
